Functionalities of proRMS
proRMS consists of modules, which are organised around the aspects of revenue management: price optimizer, group valuation, analytics tools, forecast, virtual RM and configuration.
The module is responsible for recommendations of prices published based on the changing demand forecast, the analysis of price fluctuations of competitors including additional factors, among other things, leadtime of restrictions imposed on the price, profitability of other segments and external segments such as unique events or holidays. The system enables defining complex structures of pricing, including duration of stay, seasonality, external factors and competitors. Price Optimizer PRO is designed for managing categories of rooms for all segments, based on the automatic forecast and dynamic valuation of full profitability (rooms, F&B and others) of specific segments.
Price optimizer is mainly addressing the issue of managing the optimal price for an individual segment and accessibility for other segments. In case of requests on group services, in order to decide on acceptance and commercial terms and conditions of the group contract, an in-depth analysis of profitability is a must. Thanks to the module of group valuation, this complex process is facilitated by entering main assumptions and amounts of ordered services by a user, while the system performs the full analysis of profitability of a given request and presents a recommendation of the optimal price and alternative solutions.
The analytical module is a set of tools providing great opportunities for conducting own analyses and controlling primary indicators. It consists of predefined reports and the features of intuitive creation of own reports, sending e-mails, advanced filtering and presenting results of analyses in various visual forms. Predefined reports support ongoing analyses, which justify the use of adopted strategies and support the work of managers. Owing to these reports, you can clearly analyse trends and behaviour of hotel guests, cancellations and other key business factors. PRO analytical tools allow a user to create arbitrarily complex own reports with intuitive tools. The user can make use of the complete history, all available data sources, indicators and functions. The functionality of dynamic reports facilitates replacing the Microsoft Excel software and instructing the system to generate, publish and send reports, which so far were to be generated manually.
The forecast modules enable acquiring knowledge in advance by proper planning of next steps, which are aimed at optimizing profitability of the business. In proRMS not only rooms, but also all revenue centres are subject to forecast, and its results are available under each defined indicator and filter and in all system modules. What is more, proRMS enables examining the evolution of forecast compared to other data in analytical tools, and it facilitates configuring alerts to be sent when the analysis exceeds thresholds.
Price optimizer analyses variables of selected data, correlates other factors. It calculates the optimal price and integrates it to distribution channels. The price optimizer daily performs hundreds of calculations and selects optimal scenarios to impose restrictions, limit the sale of hardly profitable segments and optimise final sales with appropriate advance. Analyse ready-to-use reports prepared in the analytical module and draw up dynamic valuations for request in the group valuation module. Machine cannot completely replace the human, however proRMS can perform a majority of tasks automatically by preparing ready-to-use results of strenuous and difficult calculations, while eliminating human errors.
One of main benefits and competitive advantages of proRMS is flexibility and complexity of configurations, which facilitates adapting the system to the strategy model adopted by the hotel. Seasonality, competitors, impact of external events is just a beginning. The system allows in-depth configuration of each algorithm, independently for each hotel, each report, not only in its structure, but also in its visualisation.
